ESSENCE OF ICELAND
In 2015, while at City & Guilds London Art School, I was awarded the Idun Ravndal Travel Prize. I had travelled to Iceland once before, and was profoundly affected by the unearthly landscapes and the changeful weather.
The prize allowed me to return to Iceland for more detailed study and to seek further inspiration. On one particularly memorable day I experienced sunshine, heavy winds, a snow storm and sleet. I produced many sketches and photographs on this trip and to this day I continue to be inspired by these landscapes.
